Each month, we gather for a night of connection, creativity, and dynamic partner dancing. 📍 Venue Venue: Murmurations Aerial Dance – 208 Flynn Ave #3i, Burlington, VT 05401 (Entrance at the south end of the 208 Flynn Ave building, shared space with Nomad Coffee!) 😈Theme: Ride of the Wild Hunt The chill of autumn curls the edges of fall leaves and the rising moon casts an air of dark mystery. What mystical creatures might emerge from the night, summoned by the pulse of the music? Be they pixies or princesses, dragons or demons, Seelhie or sirens, all are drawn to the dance floor for an evening of fae revelry! 🧑‍🏫 Workshop: "Dance of the Drama Queen - How to Initiate Creative Movement as a Follow" taught by Boston-based instructor Sara Sheffels Followers, do you feel like you're "just following" instead of really dancing? Leaders, have you ever been dancing with a follower who only ever does exactly the movements that you lead, so it's all up to you to make the dance interesting? Followers can initiate a HUGE range of movements that can make the dance more satisfying for everyone. Let's get silly, release our inner drama queens, and dance full-out together! 🎶 Social Dance Social Dance: After the workshop, we'll have social dancing beginning around 9PM. Enjoy a night of fusion dancing to a versatile playlist featuring styles like West Coast Swing, Blues, Tango, Waltz, and more. 🩺 Health and Safety Please join us only if you're feeling well. Masks are optional, and we respect everyone’s personal choice. No vaccination proof required. 👟 Footwear Reminder Bring clean, soft-soled, non-marking shoes to protect the floor and support your movement. ⚠️ THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT! We've had past issues with scuffing and floor damage.
