Let’s Dance Kizomba! Kizomba Workshop & Social June 13th | Saturday | 2:30–4:30 PM 📍The Burlington Waterfront Green! (Behind the boardwalk, to the right of Echo when looking at the lake) Join instructor Elena for a welcoming afternoon of learning, movement, community and connection on the dance floor! (In this case being the green at the waterfront-hooray summer!) ⸻ ✨ What to Expect 2:30–3:30 PM — Workshop This class will be a CHOREO Edition: we will drill a Choreography to get new moves and combinations into our kizomba repertoire Each workshop in this series will dive into a specific theme such as: • Partner connection • Musicality • Ginga (the natural movement and flow of the dance) • Technique and smooth transitions 3:30–4:30 PM — Social Dancing Put what you learned into practice and enjoy an hour of relaxed dancing with others in the community! ⸻ 💃 Who This Is For • Some experience recommended, but not required • Beginners: come ready for a fun challenge • Intermediate dancers: refine your technique and deepen your connection Everyone is welcome — come solo or with a partner! ⸻ 📍 Location The green between the waterfront boardwalk and bike path (to the right of echo when looking at the lake!) 💲 Pricing Outdoor events are by suggested donation range of $15-$25 To pre-register, please venmo using the link below. Her passion for the dance has taken her to international festivals and countless hours on the dance floor, learning from top instructors and refining her connection and musicality. Before the pandemic, she traveled regularly to Montreal to immerse herself in the Kizomba scene. Now, as a mother of two, she’s excited to reconnect with the dance community and share the joy, energy, and connection of Kizomba with the local community.
